Smell My Foot

🐥 Cece Bell, the author/illustrator of the Newbery-honor winning graphic novel, “El Deafo,” had me in stitches during the #natbookfest presentation of her new “Chick and Brain” series — one of the funniest and most spirited early readers/chapter books I’ve ever seen. 🐥 Am I the only mom whose children have demanded that I smell their foot (or finger, or butt, or...?!) 🤷🏻‍♀️ I ordered this months ago when I first saw the cover, because, I mean: Come ON! 🐥🐥🐥 Debuts this week!

National Book Festival a huge success!

I kid you not: this is the line to PURCHASE BOOKS at the National Book Festival. Attendance was supposedly around 200,000. 😮BUT, the line kept moving and no one was grumpy because: we’re getting NEW BOOKS, people! ❤️📚😊
